Ombré lips, anyone?

Loving the jumbo matte lip pencils by NARS. I've been searching for a really saturated red that works best with my skin tone and I think I found just the one. But the trick to a standout red lip is to line the lip with a shade darker and fill with a brighter shade!

Products used: Train Bleu (liner) and Dragon Girl (fill).

{Rings and Things} Jacquie Aiche Jewelry

Jacquie Aiche Rings + Finger Bracelets | www.JacquieAiche.com

I was recently introduced to an ah-mazing jewelry line by one of my social media clients. LA-based designer Jacquie Aiche has been creating rings and finger bracelets for a few years now. Her designs have been featured in the pages of fashion mags like Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, and her celebrity clientele includes the likes of Hollywood hotties such as Jessica Biel, Rihanna and Miley Cyrus.

I was having trouble coming up with gift ideas for The Mr. to give me this year. But after seeing a few photos of the pieces, and the finger bracelet up close and in person, I've definitely added some of these babies to the top of my list!

Follow Jacquie Aiche on Instagram for more photos. If you're in the Atlanta area, WAX in Inman Park is a stockist. They even take custom orders with real gold and diamonds!

Go. Now. Buy!

Pumped up Kicks...and a promo code {Sole Society}

Happy Wednesday, y'all! Let's talk shoes.

I generally don't care for a lot of the online shoe sites out right now. Something about the quality on-screen that makes me raise an eyebrow. But, I have been stalking Sole Society and their offerings for a while. I feel a bit more comfortable with this site, considering they're backed by two of my favorite brands (Nordstrom and Vince Camuto). And I like how the product details clearly state whether a not a shoe is made with faux materials or genuine leather/suedes.

So I'm really excited about my first Sole Society purchase and wanted to share a bit of the details with you. (I was going to wait to do a big unveil via YouTube, which I might still pull off, but couldn't resist the chance to share this deal!)

Meet the latest addition to my closet,  Sierra!

I've been eying quite a few pairs of pumps on Sole Society, and finally made the purchase plunge with these babies. Plus, I used a coupon code (found on RetailMeNot.com) for $25 off my first purchase (PI_11GC). So all in all, I'm pretty happy.

Are there any styles that you like on Sole Society? Have you shopped with them before? Share your experience in the comment section below!

Oh, hey, Marc Jacobs!

I visit my local TJ Maxx at least once a week to see what new shipments have arrived. It's been the best place to find sparkly tops and dresses for ridiculously low prices. And my latest find is nothing to sneeze at.

Marc by Marc Jacobs "Pandora" Sweater Dress | $228

I grabbed it for $39 and paired it with brown flat boots and a leopard print belt. Perfect ensemble for a night out with the girls!

Makes me absolutely giddy to run up on amazing finds like these!

Black Friday at H&M

Last year was my first attempt at Black Friday, and I must say, it was sort of fun! My mom and I awoke at midnight and stayed out until 6 a.m. going from store to store. Insane, I know! But well worth it for the deals we recieved!

And in my humble opinion, one of the best retailers for "fast fashion" that's worth wearing has got to be H&M. Hands down. And I just received a listing of their big Black Friday sales!

Here's what' they're advertising:

  • Fashion Finds for the entire family from $5
  • Scratch-offs for the first 100 people in line at stores, valued up to $300
  • Extended Hours: City stores will open at midnight on November 23rd
  • “Pre-Black Friday” deals starting at just $7 from November 19th through November 21st

If you live near an H&M, you might want to get there with the crowds in the wee hours of the morning. The selection is sure to go fast!

Bag Lady: F21s Studded Trim Handbag

I'm back! Did you miss me?

Feels like I'm constantly apologizing to you guys for my disappearing acts. Going forward, it's safe to say that posts will probably come only 2-3x a week until after the holidays. And even that timeframe is a little sketchy.

But you have me now. So let's get to it!

I've been searching for a new black handbag/statement bag for what seems like  an eternity months now. It's been a pretty difficult task, seeing as how I don't want to pay upwards of $300 for anything, and everything that I actually like is $800 plus. Not to mention, I don't believe in paying over $100 for "vegan" leather (yes, I'm talking to you, Zara.)

So these are the two bags that have been haunting my dreams:

Phillip Lim Pashli shark-embossed leather tote | $900

Celine Trapeze Bag | $2760

Sadly, since I'm of the working class and cannot even afford to Bag, Borrow or Steal these, I've been throwbacking it with my circa '06 French Connection oversize leather tote (let's be honest, it's really a beach bag) for months, which is so beat up that I'm not even going to embarrass myself by posting a photo of it.

Until Saturday.

Ran up on this cutie and almost squealed in-store.

Forever 21 Studded Trim Handbag | $33

Yes, it looks as amazing in this photo as it does in person. And the "vegan" leather is superb!

All for just $33 at Forever21. Might buy a second one just to be on the safe side.

Get at look at it in different lights:

Transitional Pieces: Old Navy Maxi Dress

Maxi dresses are a staple in my wardrobe. They're the best for a "throw on with flats/sandals and go" look. Sadly, most of my maxis are made of sheer, summery materials with racerback or sleeveless motifs. So they've been relegated to my "warm weather" bins that sit high above a shelf in the 3rd bedroom closet.

But...lucky for me, I recently ran across this post for one of my favorite bloggers, Lacey of A Lacey Perspective, and her blue maxi dress immediately caught my eye! The 3/4 length sleeves and rayon material are perfect for fall months. Throw on tights, a cute cropped jacket, oversize scarf and you're all set!

How to Wear it to Work: Leather Skinnies

My closet is filled to the brim with what I like to call "fun clothes." Cocktail dresses, sequin tops, embellished cardigans, silk jumpers, harem pants...you name it. If it's flashy or it looks like a great option for New Year's Eve, I got it.

Problem is:

A.) I don't work in high fashion where it's expected to come to the office as though you just stepped off the runway.

B.) I have way more "fun" pieces than I do "work-appropriate" pieces, which creates a bit of a struggle in the mornings when I just want to roll out of bed late and create a "grab and go" look.

So my latest conundrum, these leather-effect leggings, are begging to take a ride with me to the workplace.

Zara Rubberized Leather-Effect | Zara.com

So how do I wear leather without looking like a party girl?

Three steps.

1.) Add a subtle "grown-up" blouse to the mix: The pant is the focal point. For balance, add a blouse in a romantic/flowy fabric with a pop of color. No embellishments on the top, though. Leave that for after-work cocktails.

2.) Throw on a blazer: A simple, single-button blazer adds a touch of sophistication to EVERYTHING!

3.) Nix the heels: Opt for a dressier skimmer or flat. (Perhaps, one with a cute ankle strap!) Shoes (especially heels) can often steal the show when it comes to your ensemble. You want your footwear to compliment, not crowd, the look.
