Style Secrets: Kicking It in Kmart

I've been sharing a lot of my low-cost style secrets lately, and today, I dedicate this post to a new favorite: Kmart. I recently fell in love with their women's department on a random trip to buy a refill for my Brita pitcher. Needless to say, I walked out with more than just a pitcher refill . . . including LOTS of pieces from this behind-the-scenes video:

Sadly for many U.S. markets, Kmart has seen its (un)fair share of store closings. Fortunately for moi, there is still a store within minutes from my neighborhood! And for you comfort-of-your-own-home shoppers, there is also great online selection! Here are fun some items that caught my eye:

Wild Tank Dress | $14.99

Tunnel Belt Dress | $10.79
{As spotted on Lala Anthony, Here!}

Striped Ponte Jacket | $8.39

Women's Contemporary Fit Cuffed Shorts | $10.79
{I LIVE in these shorts!}

Button Down Shirt Dress | $14.99

Color Banded Shell | $5.39

Floral Sheath Dress | $10.19
{note: this dress is A LOT cuter in person. trust!}

Pros: The store is filled with really simple mix-and-match pieces that are great for layering or for wearing alone with statement jewelry. And the selection of sizes is impeccable. The racks are literally bursting with inventory in every size.

Cons: Expect to do a little digging for that "ah ha!" item. But with the store constantly slashing prices, it's well worth the dig. Also, finding a store in your area might be difficult, depending on which region you live in.
