A Peek Inside Kim Kardashian's Kloset!

If you watched last week's episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, then you're completely aware of the fashion smorgasbord that is Kim K.s  (and big sis Kourtney's) closet. She teamed up with her honey boo boo Kanye and his fabulous stylist, Renelou Padora, to tackle a massive fashion purge, and now, you can purchase designer items previously worn by the reality star on her eBay page.

I for one don't have a problem with Kimmy Kakes. Since hooking up with Kanye, she's been taking a lot of heat in the fashion department. But you can't deny...the girl cleans up well. She knows the best colors and silhouettes for her body shape, and her shoe selections are always amazing. Take a look at some of the things she's offering up for sale:

Christian Louboutin Nude Cork Platform Ankle Strap Heels Size 37 | $63

Alexander McQueen Cowl Neck Pencil Skirt Dress in Fuchsia Size 42 | $202.50

Sass & Bide Tan And Black Beaded Silk Dress Size US 6 | $20.50

Giuseppe Zanotti Woven Metallic Peep-toe Ankle Booties Size 36.5 | $122.50

A.L.C. "Zoe" Contrast Trim Blazer In Mint Green Size 2 | $81

*10% of proceeds from Kim’s eBay closet purge to Life Change Community Church. Prices above reflect current bid at time of posting.

Color Crush: Black + Blush

In my opinion, there are two colors that seem to work perfectly season in and season out: black + blush. They're great  together as accent colors or ever standing alone in a monochromatic ensemble. So I've put together a few trend-worthy pieces with this color scheme in mind. And the best part, each item is under $100! You're welcome.

C. Wonder Comes to Atlanta!

That's right, you read that correctly! C. Wonder, the NY-based clothing/accessories/home decor store is coming to Atlanta! And if you find its preppy colorful style to be familiar, that's because the store's founder, Chris Burch, is the co-founder of women's wear collection, Tory Burch. C. Wonder stores have opened in Newport Beach, California and New York City, with Atlanta as the first southern outpost.

I'm super-excited to get my shopping game plan together for the grand opening event. Here are some items I'd love to walk away with:

1. Monogram Decorative Plate, $38 (ea) | 2. Leather + Chain Double Wrap Bracelet, $58 | 3. Signature Enamel Bangle, $48 (ea) | 4. Monogram Cheese Board w/ Spreader, $22 | 5. Dome Studs Tortoise Bangle, $38  | 6. Skinny Spikes Bangle, $38 | 7. Leather Octagonal Cuff, $68

Splurge vs. Steal: Temperley London's Sequin Silk-chiffon Skirt

If I could, I'd incorporate sequins and gold lame' into every one of my outfits. Tops, skirts, leggings, you name it. But since I'm not a "working girl" (wink, nudge), I'll stick to weekend wear only.

Case in point: this gorgeous sequin silk-chiffon skirt by Temperley London is giving me all kinds of life. I can see me now strolling into an office meeting and wowing everyone with my gilded sense of style. (I wish.) However, the $2,790 (yikes!) price tag puts the kibosh on any chance of me snagging it for my wardrobe. But, here's a great alternative to keep hope alive!

All in the Jeans

Finding a good pair of denim is like finding gold! One reason why you can always catch me in a dress is because most jeans tend to make my body look horribly unattractive. I'm 5"5, I've got a short torso and a bit of a pudge in the middle (was that an overshare?). So most designers are not checking for my kind. But, for the few pairs I have in my closet, they work well and I will continue to rotate them out as needed. So if you're a bit of a squatty body like me, this post is just for you! A list of a few of my favorite jeans that are great for just about any and every body type.

Pantone Fashion Color Report: Fall 2012

Each year the experts at Pantone team up with the most prominent fashion designers to release "the" colors of the upcoming season. And they've recently introduced the colors that will dominate fall 2012.

For me, I'm loving the richness of French Toast, the boldness of Tangerine Tango, the ladylike softness of Rose Smoke and the spunky feel of Bright Chartreuse.

What will be your go-to colors for fall 2012?

Beauty News: Janelle Monáe for Covergirl

OK, so I'm a little late posting this. But it's still good news nonetheless.

Unless you've been living under a rock, then you know that one of my favorite ladies, Janelle Monáe, has been named the newest face of the upcoming Covergirl campaign!

And rightfully so. The girl is crazy beautiful and has the most enviable skin ever. Plus I can respect a chick who stays true to her signature style (hello pompadour and b+w tailored suits!).

Check out this behind-the-scenes video of Janelle's Covergirl shoot!

Lippmann Collection for True Blood

Three things.

(1.) Deborah Lippman makes some of the BEST nail lacquers around. (And I'm not just saying this because I've worked for the company.)

(2.) HBOs True Blood is one of the BEST television shows on cable right now.

(3.) DL has teamed up with the show to offer a new line of polishes.

How cool is that?! Read more about it on TheBlush.com

Get the Look: Carmen Ejogo

We're featuring another great beauty here on BOTO today! For this week's installment, turn your eyes to Carmen Ejogo, one of the stars of the upcoming remake of the 70s cult classic, Sparkle. I can't wait to see the costuming and the beauty looks for this movie, especially on Ejogo's spicy character, "Sister." So we've put together a few beauty elements that dominated the soul siren scene of 1950s Detroit (think pink lips, stiff bouffants, super-arched brows and rosy cheeks!

Ladylike Leather

Ever since Kim and Kanye popped up on blogs sporting matching leather pants this spring/summer season (in 80 degree temps, I'm sure), I've been closely watching its resurgence for fall. And sure enough, its everywhere -- from jackets to tops to jean-like leggings. I actually am a big fan of anything leather (and studded), so this trend receives a big ole welcome from me. Only caveat-- I live in the south. So it's not like I get to pull out pieces more than twice once a year. But I've quickly learned, the trick this fall season is to find ways to incorporate the trend in little details.

How will you rock leather this fall?

I Made the List!

A special thank you goes out to Atlanta Tastemaker Magazine for naming me one of Atlanta's Top 50 Fashion + Beauty Bloggers You Should Follow Now. It's an extreme honor to be listed among such awesome blogs; ones that I personally follow and really admire.

Crossing Over

If there's one accessory to add to your wardrobe this season it has to be the crossbody bag. Equal parts bohemian and utilitarian. I personally love the diminutive style, especially when it's paired with bright colors, exotic skins or leathers, and tough-but-luxe hardware.

Crossing Over...

It's a welcome change from the oversize hobos and totes we 9-to-5 girls carry on a daily. And practically speaking, taking up the trend might cause you to reconsider your purse priorities (while a travel candle is great to have on vacation, not so much as an everyday item).

My mama has been preaching to me for years on how I need to "pack light" when it comes to carrying handbags. Now, I don't mind taking her advice.

Design Obsessions: Quatrefoil

The Mr. and I are in the process of redecorating our cramped cozy condo, and it's been challenging to find a design aesthetic we both agree on. I love the clean lines of modern/contemporary styles, while he prefers a classic, cottage-y feel.

But one design element in particular has stood out to me in the process: Quatrefoil. It's sophisticated without being too fussy, and visually intriguing without being weird. Plus, I love that you can incorporate it into small decor details like bedding and light fixtures or on a larger scale with wall hangings and furniture.
