Happy Friday, guys! And it is a happy day for me indeed because I've taken on a new client for my personal shopping services. And this time, I'm giving it to the guys!

Menswear is so much fun to pull for. I, personally, love guys in tailored, slim-fitting European cuts. But I do understand that this look isn't for everyone. (The Mr. hates tight pants!). So how thrilled was I when I sent my client my intake questionnaire and asked, "Which actor/actress/media personality best speaks to your everyday style?" and he answered,
"John Legend mixed with a little Justin Timberlake
Swoooooooon. (Did I mention my new client is a recording artists as well?)

So after brainstorming ideas, talking through his personal fashion dos and don'ts (guys: don't be afraid of pants with COLOR!) and getting a feel for his comfort level, I think I've come up with a few items as a starting off point.

Look 1: Business Casual
Credits: 1.} Linen Blend Blazer, $53, H&M || 2.} Chinos, $40, Uniqlo || 3.} Gant Blue Oxford, $115, Piperlime || 4.} Ray-Ban Tortoise Wayfarers, $115, JCrew || 5.} Michael Kors Mercer Chronograph Watch, $225, Piperlime || 6.} Billykirk Belt, $115, JCrew || 7.} Ralph Lauren "Worthing" Derby Oxford, $98, Nordstrom

Inspiration: very much Jude Law as Dickie Greenleaf in The Talented Mr. Ripley (If you're never seen this movie, watch it this weekend. The fashion and acting is AMAZING!).  Since my client doesn't have a traditional 9-to-5, this business casual look is perfect for meetings with the record label heads or lunch with the A&R team. The flat-front chinos, classic blue oxford, linen blazer and accessories like tortoiseshell glasses and lace-up oxfords gives this a very 1950s "man about town" appeal!

I'm still in conceptualization mode, but I want to know what do you think of my pulls so far? Leave a comment for me below!
