As much as I love to splurge on certain items that I believe are worth the price, I definitely battle with occasional bouts of cheapism from time to time. Cast in point: the Urban Decay Naked Palette has been on my list of makeup must haves for quite awhile.
Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette, $50, Ulta.com

But for whatever reason, I just can't bring myself to paying $50 for eyeshadow . . . no matter how many rave reviews it's received! So I did what I do best: went searching for cheaper alternatives. And I think I might have hit the jackpot!

A few weeks ago I stumbled upon this makeup kit on the clearance rack at Ulta for $19. It's pretty much a full face arsenal full of shawdows, eye pencils, gloss, blush and mini brushes.

While I gave away the brushes, glosses and eye pencils to a couple friends, the eye shadows were definitely added to my makeup bag. Eight palettes with 48 shadows and eight blush options a piece!  The colors are really pretty and several of them make great dupes for the Urban Decay palette.

I'm really excited about my purchase and can't wait to put on a full glam face with these babies! The kit isn't currently on the Ulta site, so you'll have to trek in store near you to find it (it's a huge binder with a snakeskin print and a turquoise band).

What do you think about this kit. Would you purchase it or stick with the Urban Decay version? let me know by leaving a comment below!
