I'm a sucker for vintage. Luxury vintage. Designer, luxury vintage. If it's from the 70s-80s and sports a major label (we're talking Halston, Norma Kamali, Lagerfeld, etc.) I'm here for it all.

So imagine my delight when I stumbled into Doubletake Recycle Luxury Vintage Boutique..a cozy enclave of the hip and happening Studioplex lofts located in trendy Old Fourth Ward, situated on historic Auburn Avenue. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by owner, Daniel Troppy, a style savant whose historical knowledge of vintage fashion is uncanny and super impressive. We oooh'd and ahhh'd over his most recent acquisitions, made style assessments over a gorgeous quilted hostesses dress from Saks (it was delicious), and chatted about the state of thrift/consignment shops today.

After our delightful visit, I vowed to follow all of Daniel's movement on social media and to stay in the know of his inventory. Lucky for us, he keeps great documentation of his selections via Pinterest and his Thrifters Blog, sharing just about everything that enters into his doors. Here's a sample of what you can expect to find at Doubletake:

Vintage DVF Dress

Vintage Scaasi Dress w/ Vintage Isabel Canovas belt.

Hermes Vintage (early 70's) Oxford Cotton Dress

Silk Ungaro Dress (80s) w/ pockets

Chanel raincoat
Vintage Bill Blass

Amazing, right? If you're in the Atlanta area, be sure to stop in at Doubletake Recycled Luxury Boutique, 659 Auburn Avenue #G7, open Wednesday-Saturday from 11:30-5:30 p.m. Or, if you prefer to browse online, visit their website at DoubletakeRecycledLuxury.com.
