I celebrated my birthday this past weekend and for the first time I decidedly went lowkey. I had a great dinner with friends at Seven Lamps Thursday night, ordered pizza with The Mr. Friday night, had brunch at Rosebud with more friends Saturday morning and rounded out the weekend with a trip to Cobb Antique Mall Sunday. I know that sounds like a lot, but trust me, my Birthday weekends have toned down quite a bit!

But more on my trip to the antique market. I've been searching for a reasonably priced fur coat since last winter. And today, I stumbled upon not only one, but TWO fur coats for under $200. The one pictured above is actually a vintage fox fur cape, which totally made me gag on site.

(And I know it was meant for me to have this cape because the previous owner and I share the same first two initials!)

The second coat is full-length wool with a fur collar (I'll post about that later).

Conclusion: there is nothing quite like vintage luxury. While I know fur isn't politically correct in some circles, this southern girl has been wanting a fur coat for years. And I'm sure this won't be my last purchase.

Do you own fur? What are your thoughts on real vs faux? Leave a comment for me below!
